Received my camera today and I'm completely satisfied! Using it on a mac and with Google Hangouts for work primarily. The light has 3 levels of brightness to choose from and it was necessary for me to change the resolution in my video app from standard definition to High definition for better quality.

Ease of use: Plugged right into my Mac via usb and automatically became primary camera for zoom. Camera Quality: The side by side of the original mac webcam and this one is is night and day. Seems to have a bit of a red or orange hue but that may be a setting I need to play with. Auto Focus: it was doing it’s own thing when I first started a call for a minute then calmed down. Hasn’t happened since.

I really like the video quality of this camera, but even with the built-in "ring" light, it worked 100x better with additional lighting. Built in mic is OK, but I would recommend an external mic if you're doing something other than a Zoom call that's not for content. Autofocus works pretty well.

At times you'll have focusing problems, where it goes in and out of focus and it looks like it's slightly jiggling trying to focus on you. That or I have a ghost behind me that it likes to pick up lmao. But the quality of the picture is actually good and can be up to what it said 4k. now I know there are other better ones you can probably buy but if you're starting out on youtube as a gamer like I am since my main focus is comics and animations--- this is a great way to start it off without looking like you should be back in youtube 2008. Personally I don't use the mic on it (you can idk how well it works) only because I have a mic already the SudoTack So no need for me to personally use it but the lighting on the cam itself is really bright so even at night I can use it and it makes me stand out since I'm in a corner that receives less lighting so that really comes in handy. Now is the quality THE BEST? No, it can always be better, but as said, if you're not trying to look like you should be in old school youtube, then this is just fine. Sometimes good is just good enough. And it does what it has too. Syncs well with my OBS and it hasn't crashed on me yet and I've had it for months. It sites nicely above my monitor and the cord for it is decently long. So no worries there. so if you're a beginner and trying to do things good and make a good impression then yeah, buy it!

Alright, here's the deal: when it's working, it looks great. I like the coloring, I like the picture quality, the autofocus is decent, and the light ring actually makes a difference. The light ring has multiple settings; off, dim, medium, bright. I've found medium to be the sweet spot for my use, but I can certainly imagine a use case for each of the settings. I'm pleased with this. The autofocus works well and I haven't had to fuss with anything about it so far. There are occasions when it slips up but just for a split second (like when someone walks into view and approaches from the background) and it corrects on its own. I'd call this feature a 4ish out of 5. Now, usability... this is where this camera falls down. Plugged into any USB port it won't return with the computer from sleep. You have to unplug it, give it a sec, then plug it in again (and occasionally this doesn't fix it right away and you have to do it again). This is frustrating. It also seems to have some crazy bandwidth needs because it doesn't work well in a USB 2.0 port, I have to use a 3.0+ port. Using a 2.0 port the video was a choppy slideshow and would never catch up sync. Switching to a 3.0 port cleared this issue up. If you only have USB 2.0 ports, skip this camera. If your ports aren't easily accessible for unplugging and replugging, skip this camera. If you don't mind plugging it in when you need it, have plenty of easily accessible USB 3.0+ ports available, and are looking for a good quality picture for a good price, then this could be your deal. Overall, 4/5. Would probably buy again, but would highly suggest the seller/manufacturer take care of the coming back from sleep issue.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good camera, but things to consider before buying (or for manufacture to include in next product)Reviewed on September 27, 2020
As far as the camera goes it will do everything you need it too, plugged it into my MacBook Pro 16 and it was immediately picked up and able to be used w/o having to fiddle with anything. Picture quality and additional lighting look good. Will need more time with it in meetings to provide more feedback on this aspect. I wish the overall design had taken into account a few more things: - The cable is hardwired to the camera. Wish it had a detachable cable so users could swap out the default cable with a Micro USB to USB-C cable and/or a longer cable. Cable as is isn't long enough to reach my USB KVM switch mounted under the desk. - The button to toggle the light button is very close to the lens risking finger smudges on the lens. Move the light button to the sides, top or base. - The lens does not have a built in physical privacy cover. The light toggle appears to be touch capacitive(?) or very sensitive and given the circular shape I'm not sure I can attach an aftermarket privacy cover w/o causing complications with the light switch. - Having to touch the device to toggle the light and potentially having to physically move it for privacy risks having the alignment shift over time. Would be nice if the moving parts in the mount were more rigid or could be locked in place so users wouldn't have to adjust/correct alignment overtime.
