This camera did not work out as well as I hoped. My biggest issue is that it started failing intermittently during web calls, both camera and microphone, after only a year of occasional use. I attribute this to it being a cheaply manufactured item from a Chinese company. I paid less, and I got what I paid for. On the plus side, picture quality was good, but could have been better. It's good for low-light conditions, but the image tended to be grainy at low light levels. The integrated light is nice when you need it - three levels of brightness activated by touching the front of the camera housing. But that means I also sometimes activate it by accident when I do not want it shining in my eyes. The USB cord is about 5 ft, just long enough to use on a monitor sitting near a desktop PC. The one I bought did not have a privacy door. It looks like they have added that to the camera now, so that is good. No zoom capability. Overall, based on poor reliability, I cannot recommend this for anyone who needs to use a webcam frequently for work or other meetings.

Camera is great. But the cord seems to be faulty. If I move the cord on accident, the video on my zoom call will freeze up. I have to unplug the camera and plug back in. Sucks.

Let me tell ya I use the Led just by plugging it into a power bank. I got it cause I needed a selfie light and a camera. The good thing is if I need the camera It's there but I use the selfie light way more often without the cam, as a supplemental light if I'm drawing or beside my bed at night.

Starting a new remote job I needed a camera for telecommuting. I wanted a nicer one so I didn't look like a Picasso painting, but I also didn't want to spend a lot of money. After an hour or so of review, the CASECUBE seemed like the best value for the money, and the reviews were right. Build quality - 4/5 The camera is a little light which may make it feel flimsy, but this helps it hold on top of your monitor even with desk shaking. I've been using this for nearly two weeks and not once has the camera shifted or slipped. The light is fairly bright, though I rarely use it, the camera swivels 180 degrees and has some limited up and down shifting, and it even comes with a tiny tripod, which was an unexpected, but welcome, addition. My only exception is the lack of a camera cover, though swiveling it to face the wall serves the same purpose. Ease of use - 5/5 Plug and play is quite literal here, I plugged it into my computer and it was immediately recognized and utilized by the camera app. The only potential sticking point here is the lack of advanced features due to no camera software, but since that wasn't what I was looking for it exceeded my expectations. Picture quality: 4/5 This is the point where I was expecting to be disappointed. Every camera and their grandmother claims to be high definition; I was expecting either a low resolution, low framerate, or both. But this camera does have a very nice quality. I couldn't say if it actually is 1080p, but the picture is very clear and there is no stutter or lag. There doesn't seem to be any auto-focus, harking back to the lack of camera software, but the subject does always seem to be in focus.

Image and sound are good, light gets stuck sometimes and won’t change brightness. Easy plug and play via usb

This camera worked great, when it works. The wire that goes into the camera itself is very loose. Any jostling will break the camera. It worked great until up to 4 months of having the camera. Around that time, whenever I would have the light on, the video wouldn't work so I had to use it without the light feature most of the time. Then, right when I hit a year of having this camera, it completely died. I didn't move this camera but once, but I think that little bit of movement loosened the already loose wire and it my computer would no longer read it. I even tried connecting it to my spouses computer to make sure, and sure enough, it wouldn't work. I purchased this using my corporate card, for work purposes, so expensing returned etc is such a hassle. I'm really upset that I spent any amount of money on this camera to only get 4 good months out of it.

Much like the headline states it's a great value but there are always pros/cons and I hope you appreciate an honest review. The value; the camera comes in a plastic housing with the microphone grille in the back and the front has a wide open sensor for the camera with the ring LED and the touch sensor for the three brightness settings which is nifty. In addition you get a three-pronged adjustable tripod via screw in the bottom of the female thread of the angled adjustable laptop/monitor stand it has. Camera quality is decent, it says 1080p but I figure with the price it's seems in between 720p and 1080p, must be the camera sensor quality. The three adjustable ring LED is great however because of the design it creates a ring LED effect on reflected images/videos on the subject. The microphone works, it doesn't have any fancy bells and whistles like background noise cancelling and a lot of noise when I recorded a quick 15 second video. The auto-focus, it's decent. It focuses as close as roughly 6 inches and much better on faces than the provided images like Pokemon cards which may be a deal breaker for some if you want to see the finer detail at a closer view. Supported platforms; the listing says it works for PC/Windows and it in fact does. Even better is that it works for ChromeOS for Chromebooks which isn't listed but it does, if anyone was wondering. I'm currently using it right now which is great for Discord calls/Zoom meetings. The built-in camera on my girlfriend's camera was so horrible and I saw this among many other inexpensive webcams. I'm pretty happy with my purchase and would recommend this to a friend/family member that would need something with a low budget.
